John helped us reconcile our dreams with our budget
North Branch Building and Design completed a substantial project for my wife and me that unfolded over a period of two years, The scope of the project was to design and build a custom home on 35 rural acres adjacent to Camp Polk Preserve near Sisters. To be successful, the design and siting of the home on this special tract required talent and vision. We are pleased that John Nordquist was equal to the challenge. He designed and built a home worthy of the land: a “Central Oregon” home that fits our lifestyle and the land. John is passionate about design and engaged us to understand our wants and dreams. John would certainly be our choice for additional work in the future
We are pleased to recommend John Nordquist as a contractor. He converted an unused storage space over our garage at Black Butte Ranch into a beautiful den/study and remodeled our master bathroom, adding an additional entrance and new lighting and countertops. He finished the project by creating a storage area in another unused attic. Along the way, John gave us much-needed advice and direction on ways to improve our existing heating system, insulation, and lighting. Throughout the project, John was easy to talk with and creative with ideas on how best to utilize space and maximize energy efficiency. His proposal was professional and thorough, and his timeline and cost estimates were accurate. Our project stayed on schedule
A few years ago, my wife and I hired John Nordquist to design and build an addition to our home in Tollgate. It was to be two separate rooms to be used as studios for our hobbies. We also added to the garage to make room for a spacious new utility. John worked with us to come up with what turned out to be the perfect design for our needs. During the project, John met with us weekly and showed us a notebook with detailed itemized costs for that week, including receipts. We always could see where each dollar had gone. In addition, our project stayed on schedule with no long lapses where no one showed up, as we had experienced with other builders on past projects. We could not be more pleased with the results. We are proud of the quality, workmanship and design that John provided. The addition was integrated into the existing home so well that you can't tell it is not part of the original house. In 2005 my wife and I decided to remodel and increase the size of our master bathroom. We contracted with John Nordquist to help with the design and perform the construction work. John was present on the job site every day. The workmanship was excellent and the subcontractors and suppliers were held to their schedules. We were totally satisfied with the completed bath and have had no problems with any of the installed equipment.
